Smoke Detectors
A fine of $100 is imposed if a smoke detector is found disconnected in any fashion. It is a violation of the standard fire code to tamper with, remove, or otherwise disturb any smoke detector, or fire hydrant, except for the purpose of making necessary repairs, or when permitted by the fire marshal. Violation of this ordinance may be punishable by law and may result in immediate eviction. Smoke detectors are provided by Mullins Housing Authority at no cost to the Tenant.
